Coil Receiver Full Time STP

Required Education and Experience:

• High School diploma
• Must have a valid Overhead Crane certification
• Minimum 3-4 years receiving experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to use computer inventory system; experience with CMS is an asset
• Good English Communication Skills (oral and written)
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to follow well defined procedures and capable of implementing some practical procedures

Essential Functions:

• Receive incoming goods/ unload trucks and reconcile to delivery slips. Audit incoming product for accuracy of weight, thickness and width. Receive materials into CMS.
• Bring materials to presses and put materials away for storage as per scan to location procedure. Re-label partial coils. Perform inventory counts
• Prepare / stage product for outgoing shipments. Load and ship product as per outgoing packing slips
• Ensure that raw materials and product are dispersed or consumed based on FIFO
• Load coils on uncoiler and bring coil strip to feeder
• Do coil straighten setting as per specific job run requirements
• Provide back-up assistance for Shipping/ Press Shop Department as required
• Maintain and organize work area for smooth and efficient workplace and for safety measures
• Ensure the safe operation of crane at all times; abide by safety training and regulations
• Complete the necessary documentation such as daily overhead crane checklist…
• Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation, O. Reg 851 for Industrial Establishments, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (with emphasis on Section 28, (1) (a)-(d), (2) (a)-(c)).

Working Environment:

• 100% plant floor (PPE required)

Physical Demands:

• Require communication with employees, peers and management
• Lifting and pushing as needed

• Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company.
• All employees are prohibited from walking under a suspended hoist, cranes or forklifts.
• All employees must follow all LOTO procedures
• Comply with all environmental requirements including our recycling program.
