General Machinist or Experienced Apprentice

Reporting to the Tool room manager – The Fixture builder will:

Manufacture components using all necessary manual machine shop practices.

Assemble components both purchased and manufactured to finalize the finished product.

Liaise with the Quality department for the inspection of the finished product.

Be responsible for adherence to project schedules.

Job Requirements:

*Must be proficient with standard tool room equipment such as: drill presses, mills, grinders, lathes, band saws, micrometers & Vernier’s.

*Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings/blueprints.

*An understanding of GD&T would be an asset.

*Excellent organizational skills.

*Good decision making skills.

*Attention to detail.

*Good written and communication skills.

*Experience building automotive inspection fixtures is a definite asset.
