Heavyweight Conveyor Belt Technician

We are expanding our Burlington branch and are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced team player for the role of Heavyweight Conveyor Belt Technician. Our goal is to expand our customer base as well as to maintain our high level of customer service with our existing and diverse customers. We will provide product training for the appropriate candidate to continue our trend of having the most knowledgeable and experienced team in the industry. Responsibilities (Skills/Hours) can be counted towards an Industrial Millwright (433A) Apprenticeship.

Experience and Duties:

• 3+years of previous field conveyor belting experience
• Training and/experience working with major conveyor belting suppliers (Fenner Dunlop, GoodYear, Contitech etc.) is a strong asset.
• Performing on-site inspections of conveyor systems
• Travel to customer sites to splice and install conveyor belts and accessories
• Perform adjustments and troubleshooting on conveyor systems
• Perform in-house rubber lining applications
• Shipping and receiving
• Housekeeping duties

Following previous training considered an asset:

• Safe Forklift operation
• WHMIS & TDG
• First Aid
• Fall Protection
• LOTOTO
• Rigging Training
• Technical and Mechanical Aptitude
