The Industrial Electrician will:
 install, test, troubleshoot, and repair all aspects of electrical components, PLCs and machinery
 work with the Engineering and Maintenance team to increase efficiency, production quality, and volume
 follow safety procedures and comply with all related safety and security regulations
 keep production equipment in good working condition
 adjust production machinery and equipment to provide safe and efficient operation
 complete assigned Preventive Maintenance by scheduled dates
 keep machine downtime to a minimum
 work with priorities set by the supervisor with minimal supervision
 take action to correct unsafe work habits
 operate equipment safely
 maintain work areas in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with established housekeeping standards
 troubleshoot and diagnose potential mechanical problems and breakdowns
 repair machinery and equipment as required
 report and/or correct unsafe work conditions as appropriate
 reference equipment manuals for set-up and operation
 use judgement to plan and perform repair procedures using standard methods and equipment
Qualifications and Experience:
 Hold a valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification 309A as an Electrician (required) or an Industrial Electrician 442A Certificate
 At least 3 years related experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably automotive.
 Ability to read, interpret and work from detailed electrical schematics
 Experience in trouble shooting PLC’s and Robots
 Experience in trouble shooting and repairing electrical / mechanical problems
