Welder Fitter

We are looking for Welder Fitters to join our team at Tag Construction Group to work on medium to large-scale commercial and residential metal fabrication projects.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Weld and fit components together using MIG/TIG welding
• Support Installation and welding activities in our North York shop, as well as other Ontario client sites
• Working with hand tools, torches and other tools as required to complete work
• Working with stainless steel, brass/bronze, aluminum, and mild steel to fabricate, assemble and install components
• Strong attention to detail and quality of work
• Able to work independently on tasks
• Work in a team environment

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must have TIG welding experience
• 5 years experience as a welder in a related field (welding, manufacturing architectural products, metal fabrication shop work etc.)
• Fitting experience is a must
• Ability to handle physical workload – can lift a minimum of 30 pounds
• Capable of reading & interpreting shop drawings and weld diagrams
• Must hold a valid driver’s license for travel to and from installation job sites
