Technician – Maintenance/Manufacturing Support

Metalumen is looking for a Technician – Manufacturing Support to be the “right hand” for our Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Main Duties

• Maintain production equipment and building facilities in a safe and structured manner through the performance of regularly scheduled preventative maintenance
• Spot welding
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
• Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and production processes
• Proactively work to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
• Support specific production processes as called upon
• Fabricate jigs and fixtures when needed
• Work to ensure regulatory compliance in regards to pre-start health and safety reviews as well as third party compliance audits
• Support the H&S committee
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Certificate of qualification as a Maintenance Mechanic, Millwright or similarly related trade with the requisite experience.
• 5-10 years working in a manufacturing environment
• Computer knowledge- email, computerized maintenance systems, CAD, MS Office etc.
• Hands on knowledge of sheet metal fabrication equipment such as shears, turret presses, CNC lasers, brake presses, punches, etc.
• Experience in automated CNC machinery and Robotics (ABB, Fanuc) preferred
• Red Seal certification
• Hands on working knowledge of, multi -stage powder painting systems, and infrared curing ovens is a definite asset
• Critical thinking, troubleshooting, teamwork, organization, time management, creative, positive outlook, flexible, reliable, consistent
