Electrician (Afternoon Shift)

Compensation: Starting at $42.76/hour (including shift premium)
Schedule: Straight Afternoon Shift – 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Worklynx Recruitment Inc. is currently hiring a licensed Electrician for one of our manufacturing clients located in Waterloo, ON.
About the Role
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced industrial electrician looking for a long-term position in a stable manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will support production equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, complete preventative maintenance, and assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the facility.
This is a hands-on role within a collaborative maintenance team supporting food production and packaging operations.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and electrical systems
Perform preventative maintenance and complete scheduled PM work orders
Support power distribution, lighting, motor overloads, and equipment servicing
Assist with equipment overhauls and maintenance projects
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability
Work collaboratively with other trades and maintenance team members
Maintain safe and clean work areas in accordance with company policies and legislation
Follow GMP, HACCP, food safety, and health & safety procedures
Report food safety or safety concerns as required
Assist with building maintenance and other related duties as needed
Qualifications & Experience
Valid 309A Electrician Certificate of Qualification required
Proof of apprenticeship completion required
2–5 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
Mechanical troubleshooting experience considered an asset
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and production equipment
Refrigeration operator experience considered an asset
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently on afternoon shift
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
